The purpose is large
The messengers few
For lost liberties
Are hard to renew
Especially when
Our government can
With one single pen
Obliterate them
Our self-governance
Gives way to excuse
We’re told how to live
While most get abused
And now with such polls
Sent to stir pots
Is how we get governed
Majority trots
I don’t think John Locke
Imagined how
Media has steered
To where we are now
So once again our
Liberties fade
Fifty-six signers
Cry from their graves
How could we give up
What once was so new
The purpose is large
